John Burk (Bourke) who died prior to 3 Jan 1701/2 when his eldest son Thomas Burk (Bourke) sold land patented by John Burk, a part of which had been sold by John and his wife Mary Burk (Bourke), the present deed providing that Ann, widow of John Burk, should enjoy her full third of the land as if the deed had not been made. Ann had married John Burk some time after 18 Jan 1686/7, the date of death of his wife Mary Tuggle Burk (Bourke). Valentine Mayo died in Middlesex County 5 Oct 1716 and the widow Ann Mayo died in Caroline County in 1743, her will being presented at July 1744 Court by the executor James Mayo and proved by the witnesses, Robert Williamson and John Williamson, who were also sureties on his bond."370
